Environmental vision and values

We believe that everyone should contribute to people's happiness and the health of the planet. Environmental responsibility stems from the awareness that the future depends on daily, concrete, and consistent choices. For this reason, we have initiated an internal analysis process with the aim of:

  • Identifying our direct and indirect environmental impacts;

  • Recognizing environmental strengths and weaknesses in structural and production terms;

  • Setting concrete, measurable, and achievable objectives over time;

  • Defining actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, in order to make a tangible and effective contribution to combating climate change;

  • Promoting an environmental culture within the company and throughout the supply chain.

We have always nurtured a strong connection with the local territory, adopting responsible and environmentally respectful practices over time. Today, we are developing a more structured sustainability plan, building on these actions that we have spontaneously implemented over the years, which represent a solid foundation for a continuous improvement path focused on nature, the land, and shared well-being.

Our sustainability journey

Raw Materials

We select high-quality, sustainable, and ethically sourced raw materials. Our fresh milk comes from local, monitored farms that ensure freshness and traceability, while our eggs come from Italian free-range farms that respect animal welfare. The palm oil we use is RSPO-certified, produced according to environmental and social criteria to prevent deforestation, loss of biodiversity, and human rights violations.

Green Technologies

Refrigeration is essential to ensure quality and safety. For this reason, we use advanced and eco-friendly technologies, such as an ammonia-based cooling system with low environmental impact but high energy efficiency, and liquid nitrogen, which enables rapid freezing that preserves organoleptic and nutritional properties without harmful emissions.

Renewable Energy

We are members of CEIS delle Giudicarie, a cooperative in Trentino that produces hydroelectric and photovoltaic energy, supporting communities and businesses in energy savings and promoting local environmental projects. We use their energy and have a photovoltaic system at our facility, strengthening our connection with the territory and enhancing sustainability in our production model.

Energy Savings

In recent years, we have launched an energy efficiency plan aimed at making all production and company spaces more sustainable and optimizing production cycles. For example, we have replaced neon lighting with LED technology, which consumes up to 60–70% less energy while providing superior light quality, better color rendering, and flicker-free performance.

Circular Economy

To reduce production waste, we adopt a model inspired by the circular economy, recovering processing residues to produce animal feed or biogas. This strategy allows us to significantly reduce waste sent for disposal, contributing to a more responsible and sustainable production cycle.

Sustainable Packaging

An important step forward in sustainability has been made with the introduction of four new product lines packaged in jars made from paper-based composite materials, designed to be disposed of with paper recycling. This reduces the use of plastic, favoring recyclable materials that are easy to manage within the waste cycle.

Organic Certification

We are proud to have obtained organic certification in the ice cream sector, ensuring products made with raw materials from organic farming, free from pesticides, chemical fertilizers, or GMOs. This certification protects biodiversity, improves soil health and fertility, and helps significantly reduce the overall environmental impact.
